We are pleased to announce that the Buffalo-Herd on DeviantArt will be holding it's first contest! When we first began this club, we really didn't think it would take off, but the response has been overwhelming! this club is still very new and we have so many members already! So a big thanks to everyone that is showing their buffalove here, especially our out-of-towner members!

well, naturally, the theme of our first contest here is going to be Buffalo Pride some interpretations of this theme could be "show how proud you are of WNY via your artwork" or "something about buffalo that makes me proud to call WNY home"
hopefully that will get your ideas turning!

Any medium is acceptable, digital or traditional drawing painting, artisan crafts, photography, grafitti, sculpture etc.

Please specify in your submission note that what you are submitting is for the contest. (normal submission guidelines are below)

judging and Rules works will be judged upon creativity, originality, skill, and interpretation of the theme
and will be judged by the club owners ~PippinIncarnate and ~buffalosabresfan

because ~PippinIncarnate and ~buffalosabresfan are the owners of the club and the judges in the contests, they are barred from submitting artwork for the contest.

we need a minimum of 4 entrants in the contest in order for the competition to go through. if we can't get at least 4 entrants, the contest will be postponed until we have at least the required number of participants.

the contest begins today and will end on October 1st. which is when judging will begin.

Prize
the winning submission will be our clubs featured deviation until the next club winner, and will also be featured in our journal. the honourable mentions will also be featured in our journal temporarily.

We encourage everyone to enter this contest. please don't be scared or decide not to submit because you don't feel your work is good enough. afterall, someone HAS to win this contest, so why not? there is absolutely nothing to lose, and it never hurts to try.

Lastly, this contest is all about Fun and buffalo pride. so go have fun, show us your best work and Good Luck!
